Our Mission
Pure Living Family Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to empower parents of children with special needs to take better care of themselves — so they can show up fully for their kids. We do this through community events, functional wellness education, peer support, and trusted partnerships with integrative health providers.
We believe that when a parent thrives, the whole family thrives. Our work sits at the intersection of caregiver wellbeing, integrative medicine, and grassroots community-building for underserved special needs families.
Our Impact
Since founding in February 2022, Pure Living Family has grown into one of Utah's most active wellness communities for special needs families:
- Events produced: 10+ community events including retreats, educational workshops, and family nights
- Families served: 100+ families in our active community
- Annual event attendance: 100+ participants across signature events
- Podcast: Active listenership of parents and caregivers nationwide
- IACC Recognition: Invited presenter at the International Autism Collaboration Conference (2026)
- Partner network: 6+ vetted functional health brand partnerships bringing discounted resources to member families
Programs & Initiatives
- Community Events — Monthly and quarterly gatherings (mom retreats, family nights, wellness workshops) that reduce isolation and build lasting support networks among special needs parents.
- Functional Wellness Education — Workshops and content that bridge the gap between conventional medicine and integrative approaches — giving parents real tools for their children's health journeys.
- The Pure Living Family Podcast — A free resource reaching caregivers nationwide with expert interviews and community stories.
- Mission Support Fund — Subsidized event access for families facing financial hardship so no one is excluded from community.

Founder & Executive Director: Shawn Blymiller
In 2018, Shawn had a dream in which he saw the Pure Living Family logo — and heard a voice say, "This will take you places you never thought you would go." He started with an LLC, intent on building something meaningful for families like his own. But as the community grew, he found himself unable to charge the parents he was serving — families already pouring every resource they had into their children's treatments and therapies. It didn't feel right. So Shawn made the decision to convert the LLC to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, a process that took nearly three years to complete. That commitment to putting families first — over profit — is the foundation everything else is built on.
